The President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Mustafa Şentop, will pay an official visit to the Republic of Moldova. The Head of the Legislature in Ankara will be accompanied by the President of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Republic of Moldova, Mehmet Altay. The official visit will take place during September 15-16.
The program of the official visit includes meetings with the country’s leadership: the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, the President Maia Sandu and the Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița.
Turkish officials will also meet with several presidents of permanent commissions including Doina Gherman, Dumitru Alaiba, Lilian Carp, Olesea Stamate. As well as representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and those of the Investment Agency.
On September 16, officials of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey will visit the Gagauzia Autonomous Territorial Unit.
The Republic of Moldova has diplomatic relations with the Republic of Turkey since 1992. During this perios around 68 bilateral agreements have been concluded.
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey, usually just called the Meclis, is the unicameral parliament of the Republic of Turkey.
