The visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and its period was confirmed on Friday, May 24, by the spokesman of the US Department of State, Matthew Miller.
“Secretary Blinken will travel to Moldova and the Czech Republic from May 28-31 to highlight our strong bilateral relationship. In Prague, he will also attend an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers to discuss priorities for the NATO Summit in Washington in July,” Matthew Miller announced.
During the week, it was rumoured that Antony Blinken would be in Chisinau on 29 May.
Further details will be provided by the Presidency in the coming days.
Antony Blinken has already been to Moldova in March 2022, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine began.
