Ursula von der Leyen’s heartbeats for Moldova: The country freed itself from Soviet chains and created democracy

“Moldova, our hearts are with you.” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen delivered this message on Moldova’s Independence Day.

The European official expressed admiration for our country. She noted that Moldovans have managed to free themselves from Soviet influence and build democracy.

“It is a day when we honor the extraordinary journey of a country that freed itself from Soviet chains. It has built democracy and is moving forward on the European path. Congratulations, Moldova,” von der Leyen said.
