The Superior Council of Prosecutors has decided that Veronica Drăgălin is the winner of the competition for the position of Chief Prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office. The announcement was made by the Minister of Justice, Sergiu Litvinenco, following the interview interview of the candidates that took place on Tuesday, June 7.
“The candidacy of Veronica Dragalin will be submitted to the interim Attorney General for appointment. Congratulations to Ms. Drăgălin for the excellent performance she had both at the pre-selection stage before the special commission and at the selection stage before the Council “, added Sergiu Litvinenco.
Veronica Dragalin is a Doctor of Law at the University of Virginia School of Law and an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Federal District Attorney’s Office in Central California. Nominated for the Young Federal Attorney National Award and the Federal Prosecutor for Women in Federal Justice, she speaks Romanian, English, Spanish, Russian, German and Italian.
