Vice Premier for Reintegration Serebrian Heads to Berlin for High-Stakes Talks on Transnistrian Conflict Resolution

In a significant development, Vice Premier for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian has announced his visit to Berlin. According to the Moldovan official, an important roundtable discussion on the resolution of the long-standing Transnistrian conflict will be held under the auspices of the German Society for Foreign Policy.

“From June 4th to June 7th, I will be in Berlin, where a roundtable event on the resolution of the Transnistrian conflict will take place under the esteemed organization, the German Society for Foreign Policy. This event will see the participation of officials and experts from multiple countries,” declared Serebrian on social media.

Additionally, he mentioned that he will engage in consultations with colleagues from the Federal Foreign Office and the Federal Chancellery to address recent and anticipated developments in the Transnistrian dossier.

Notably, during the Bulboaca EPC Summit, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, emphasized that the Republic of Moldova will independently decide the fate of the Transnistrian conflict. He further asserted that this situation would not hinder the country’s potential accession to the European Union.
