Victoriabank bought BCR Chisinau: the deal of the year on the Moldovan banking market

Victoriabank bought BCR Chisinau for 224 million lei. After the takeover of BCR Chisinau, ten banks will remain in the Moldovan banking market.

The parties signed an agreement on the sale in March last year, following negotiations between Romanian bankers managing two banking structures from Moldova. Victoriabank confirmed the deal, and more detailed information will be available after the registration of the transaction with the State Services Agency.

Victoriabank is the third most profitable bank in Moldova after MAIB and Moldindconbank.
