VIDEO Chisinau hosts the International Forum “Children’s Online Safety”, organized by MAI

The International Forum “Children’s Online Safety” will take place in Chisinau, a two-day event organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) in partnership with the International Centre “La Strada Moldova,” with the support of the US Department of State and the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova. The event will be broadcast live on Rlive.md and RLIVE TV.

Thus, on Thursday and Friday, 15-16 February, international and national government representatives, European Commission officials, ICT industry experts, civil society, and organizations with expertise in the field will be discussed in six panels.

Earlier, Minister Adrian Efros gave some details about the forum.

“The safety and protection of children, whether physical or virtual, is the primary concern of the MAI. However, the online environment is becoming more and more hostile, and the internet is snaring and abusing children in ways and approaches that, a few years earlier, we didn’t even think could happen. Technology is advancing rapidly, and we are being forced to identify and apply protective solutions to fight back. For us, children are the most precious value of our nation,” said Adrian Efros.
