The Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova and the Embassy of the United States of America in Chisinau representatives congratulated Moldovan citizens on Independence Day. The diplomats reiterated the importance of freedom, sovereignty, and democracy in our country.
Nina Maria Fite, ChargĂ© d’Affaires of the American Embassy, stated that Moldova is celebrating its enduring friendship with the USA today. She affirmed that Washington remains committed to working with the Chisinau administration.

Janis Mazeiks, Head of the European Union Delegation in Moldova, referred to our country’s integration into the EU, saying that in the 2024 year, Moldova’s Independence Day will take on a new meaning in the accession process.
“In October, you will make a historic decision in a referendum. You will choose your future by deciding whether to join the European Union. This choice will define the country’s path for future generations,” Mazeiks said.
For her part, the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, reiterated on social networks the message sent in Chisinau that Moldova is Europe.
