Due to the joint control at the border between Leuseni-Albica, the time for processing documents is reduced. This was announced by Interior Minister Adrian Efros in the program Rezoomat on the RLIVE TV channel.
The Interior Minister says that Moldovans dissatisfied with the changes should understand the difference between joint and coordinated control.
“We must distinguish between joint and coordinated control. Joint control involves sharing control over activities. This is what we have now in Leuseni-Albita. Coordinated control is just a one-off check of passports and vehicles. We are working now that citizens do not have to go through customs control first on the Moldovan side and then on the Romanian side. As soon as a vehicle stops at a border crossing point, we reduce the time for processing documents,” the Interior Minister said.
