Supporters chanted “Maia Sandu for President!” on Sunday evening, November 3, continuing past midnight at Maia Sandu’s campaign headquarters after the preliminary results. Ministers, deputies, party members, the Speaker of Parliament, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova joined the gathering at the campaign office. National and international journalists also attended, awaiting press statements.
“Moldova, you are a winner! Today, dear Moldovans, you have given a lesson in democracy worthy of being written in history books. Today, you saved Moldova! In our choice for a dignified future, no one has lost,” said the newly re-elected president in her speech for a four-year term.

On Sunday, the Republic of Moldova held the second round of presidential elections. PAS candidate Maia Sandu won a new presidential mandate after 99.86% of the votes were counted. Nearly all the vote tallies have been processed, with the results as follows: Maia Sandu—55.41%, Alexandr Stoianoglo—44.59%. Only three vote tallies remain to be processed in the diaspora to complete the final count.
