Moldova’s Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu and Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko discussed European integration, energy security, and Russia’s aggression against Ukraine during talks in Kyiv. The Moldovan prime minister opened his press statements in Ukrainian, expressing solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

Yuliia Svyrydenko emphasized the strong bilateral cooperation between Chisinau and Kyiv, highlighting collaboration in the transport sector and efforts to strengthen border infrastructure. She also noted that Moldova and Ukraine share common European aspirations.

“Ukrainians are welcome in Moldova. The Republic of Moldova and Ukraine are true friends and reliable partners, united not only by a shared border, but also by democratic and European aspirations,” Alexandru Munteanu said.

Prime Minister Munteanu is leading a delegation of the Moldovan government on an official visit to Kyiv. During the visit, he is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and several senior Ukrainian officials.
