Marking an inspiring milestone, the National Ensemble “JOC” commemorates its 80th anniversary this year, highlighting decades in which its dancers have carried the traditions and culture of the Republic of Moldova onto stages across more than 60 countries, with approximately 3,800 international performances.
The ensemble’s spokesperson shared more insights about the milestone.
“All the concerts we’ve held were applauded by vastly different audiences, but the dancers’ energy is something to admire and savor. (…) This anniversary is a statement, a challenge, and a landmark from which we must continue to build new perspectives, create something fresh, and preserve what already exists,” said Maria Andriuta.
