Several opposition forces are still discussing Alexandr Stoianoglo as a potential single candidate. The leader of the BCS parliamentary faction, Vlad Batrincea, mentions this.
“He is a candidate who has certain chances and capabilities. Authorities removed him from the post of attorney general. Why shouldn’t he be removed from the presidential race? Yes, abusive. To avoid having such a president in the presidential race when some candidates are improperly removed from the race, we have cooperated broadly with several opposition forces. So that we do not admit and do not allow anyone to come up with inappropriate, illegal measures against one or another candidate,” says Vlad Batrincea.
The presidential elections will be on 20 October, the same day as the referendum on EU integration.
