Maia Sandu hesitated to confirm whether there are nominations for the positions of Parliament President and Prime Minister. She stated that the authorities must first complete several formalities before announcing the nominations.
According to the head of state, the Constitutional Court must validate the election results first. After that, the new members of the Legislature will gather, discuss, and announce how they see the next government. “We must be patient until the deputies meet and inform us about their decision,” Maia Sandu explained.
At the top of PAS’s list for the parliamentary elections stand Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Parliament President Igor Grosu. Several other ministers from the current cabinet also ran in the election.
