Energy Minister Viktor Parlikov is on a working visit to Washington. The agenda includes meetings with high-ranking officials of the U.S. administration and representatives of the energy industry.
“From April 8 to April 11, 2024, I am on a working visit to Washington, D.C., where I will hold meetings with senior officials of the U.S. energy industry administration and representatives. This visit represents an important step in strengthening bilateral relations between Moldova and the United States and promoting Moldova’s energy reform agenda,” Parlicov said on Facebook.
During the visit, the minister will meet with his American counterpart Jennifer M. Granholm, deputy secretaries of the State Department, USAID deputy administrator, the leadership of the American Financial Corporation for International Development and the National Security Council, as well as members of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

He will also participate in a roundtable discussion on energy security organized by the Atlantic Council.
“During my visit, I will also meet with Tim Stewart, head of the Oil and Gas Association, and representatives of liquefied natural gas companies. I will also talk with the leadership of the Nuclear Energy Institute organization and with member companies such as Holtec and NuScale, a company committed to building modular nuclear reactors in Romania,” Parlicov wrote.
