What does your DNA hide? A new show explores the identity of Moldovans in “The Code of the Nation”

How well do we know our roots? A new documentary-reality project titled “The Code of the Nation” introduces an innovative concept: discovering personal identity through DNA testing.

Produced by Realitatea Media Group with support from the Content Fund, the show highlights the stories of people from Moldova who embark on a personal journey filled with questions, emotions, and revelations.

Participants belong to various ethnic communities, including Roma, Gagauz, Ukrainians, Jews, Bulgarians, and more. Each episode ends with their DNA test results, which confirm or challenge what participants knew about their origins.
