What the Russian ambassador to Moldova declared after the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Oleg Vasnetsov, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Chisinau, made his first statements after being summoned yesterday, November 24, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE).

According to the ambassador, at the meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs representatives, bilateral realities were discussed, as well as the situation in the neighboring country.

“I made a genesis of what is happening at the moment. The overthrow of state power in 2014, the consequences, and the genocide that took place for eight years against the population of Donbas, the Russian population. I also reminded you about the negotiations in Minsk that got stuck, even though the Western states were the guarantor,” said Oleg Vasnetsov.

The diplomat also said they discussed “other things, which triggered these events, including the negotiations launched by Russia last year with the US and NATO member states to ensure security guarantees, not to admit the expansion of NATO, non-involvement in Ukraine”.

He expressed his hope to be heard, although according to the ambassador, “the media space today is full of half-truths, half-true news”.
