WHO & USAID Make a Huge Donation to Enhance Healthcare Monitoring in Moldova


Today, 114 public healthcare institutions providing primary and specialized outpatient care receive a donation of 400 computers procured by the World Health Organization (WHO). The official handover event took place at the Trușeni Health Center, which is one of the beneficiary institutions.

Thanks to these devices, the monitoring and reporting system for COVID-19 and influenza vaccination will be strengthened, as well as the capacities of vaccination clinics within public healthcare institutions. Given the essential importance of technology in efficient information management, the Ministry of Health announced that the use of computers will enhance the monitoring and reporting of COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations.

The use of computers will enable real-time reporting with accurate data on administered vaccine doses. Additionally, computers will facilitate the use of information systems in the healthcare sector.

The batch of 400 computers was procured by the World Health Organization, with financial support from USAID Moldova, at a total cost of $258,800.
