With the support of USAID, 22 hospitals will be equipped with electricity generators

22 medical-sanitary hospital institutions will be equipped with electric current generators. They will be procured with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), within the “Energy Security of the Republic of Moldova” (MESA) project. The Ministry of Health signed an agreement in this regard with the company implementing the project.

Therefore, the generators requested by the ministry will be distributed to ten district hospitals, 11 republican institutions and one municipal hospital.

More specifically, generating sets will receive:

  • the district hospital in Comrat, Basarabeasca, TeleneÈ™ti, Drochia, Leova, Rezina, EdineÈ›, Sângerei, Ștefan Vodă and Ungheni;
  • two psychiatric hospitals, from Chisinau and Balti;
  • “Timofei MoÈ™neaga” Republican Clinical Hospital;
  • Institute of Emergency Medicine;
  • Traumatology and Orthopedics Clinical Hospital;
  • Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery “Diomid Gherman”;
  • Balti Clinical Hospital;
  • Institute of Cardiology;
  • Republican Rehabilitation Center for Children;
  • Republican Dispensary of Narcology;
  • The temporary placement and rehabilitation center for children from Balti;
  • Municipal Clinical Hospital no. 4.

The value of the generators, according to the agreement, is 983,340 dollars.
