Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky pledged to assist the Republic of Moldova in tackling “energy challenges” and preventing “Moscow from stirring social tensions” within the country. His statement followed a phone discussion with Moldovan President Maia Sandu.
“An important task at this stage is to help Moldova overcome energy challenges and prevent Moscow from inciting social tensions. The current energy situation in Moldova, particularly on the left bank of the Dniester, is a clear attempt by Russia to manipulate and use energy resources against the authorities of the Republic of Moldova.
