Building a Bright Future in Moldova: PM Recean Extends an Invitation to the Diaspora

Prime Minister Dorin Recean held a meeting with Moldovan citizens residing in Switzerland and Liechtenstein during his visit to Zurich. The discussions revolved around the challenges faced by the country and the actions undertaken by the government to foster the economic development of the Republic of Moldova. In particular, Prime Minister Dorin Recean highlighted the reforms initiated by the authorities in the process of European modernization.

The head of the Executive also addressed the potential for investment in the country and the opportunities for launching businesses, including in rural areas.

“I have met numerous families who returned from the diaspora and successfully established businesses in the Republic of Moldova. With perseverance, utilizing the experience gained in other countries, and with the support of the government and development partners, remarkable achievements can be made in our country. I invite you to continue working together to build a better future in Moldova,” Prime Minister Recean stated.

Prime Minister Dorin Recean, together with Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba, responded to questions regarding the advantages of the Free Trade Agreement, which will be signed on Tuesday with the European Free Trade Association. Moldovan citizens showed interest in the possibility of concluding a Social Protection Agreement between the Republic of Moldova, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein, as well as the measures adopted by the government to improve the quality of life for citizens.

The officials reiterated the priorities on the country’s modernization agenda, with a focus on economic growth and regional development.
