ALUTRADE SERVICE identified a missing niche in the market and developed a successful business model. The company manages the first specialized warehouse for shading systems in Chisinau, a project shaped by the founder’s 15 years of experience in the field. But let’s take it step by step.
Constantin Ghervas, the administrator of ALUTRADE SERVICE, envisioned a business that would change traditional mindsets. “Why purchase raw materials without storage solutions and wait for clients when you can secure clients first and quickly fulfill orders using a warehouse equipped with everything needed and proper storage conditions?” he asked. This idea became the foundation for offering tailored solutions to his clients.
A key aspect of the business model is its focus on B2B partnerships. ”We collaborate with other businesses that sell our products to end customers. We assist them either by providing raw materials for their production or with finished products for installation or export,” explains Constantin Ghervas.
Approximately 50-60% of ALUTRADE SERVICE’s products are exported to markets like Italy, Germany, and France, highlighting the company’s export potential.
After two years of activity, the company aimed for further growth and became a beneficiary of the “Start for Youth” Program, funded by the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union through the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (OED). With a grant of 200,000 MDL, Constantin invested in modern equipment for producing exterior roller shutters and insect screens, expanding the company’s production capacity.
This program supports young entrepreneurs in developing innovative and sustainable businesses, contributing to job creation and business growth, and improving the quality of products and services available in both domestic and international markets. The European Union plays a key role in supporting entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova by co-financing programs implemented by OED. These initiatives provide financial support and consultancy for small and medium-sized businesses, fostering a favorable environment for innovation and economic growth.
”I want to thank OED, the Government of the Republic of Moldova, and the European Union for their contributions to our business. Thanks to their support, we are growing, and while we are small today, we will be bigger tomorrow,” Constantin emphasizes.
