In recent weeks, attackers have launched a massive cyber assault on Realitatea Media Group’s online platform and RLIVE TV. Over 14 days, we recorded approximately 150,000 cyber interference attempts.
Attackers launched a significant wave of coordinated attacks each day, and we responded by blocking more than 30,000 IP addresses daily.
The sources of these attacks include countries such as Vietnam, Iran, Russia, Seychelles, Singapore, the Netherlands, the United States, Germany, and France.

On April 24, 2025, a cyber attack compromised RLIVE TV’s crawl text generation module for the first time. The attackers inserted politically charged and defamatory messages.
We have reported these incidents to the appropriate authorities.
It is not the first time we have faced such aggressive cyber activity. Last year, we repelled three major attacks—in March–April, August, and September–October.
We believe these malicious efforts aim to test our defenses ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28, 2025.
Our team has proactively implemented a range of systems to counter such threats. However, the scale and intensity of recent attacks indicate that our current defenses alone are no longer sufficient.
Internally, we are mobilizing resources to ensure system resilience. We remain connected to anti-DDoS systems from national and international service providers and continue to reinforce our cybersecurity infrastructure.
Our IT department remains fully engaged in combating these attacks and protecting the digital space our readers and viewers rely on. We are committed to maintaining resilience in rapidly evolving cyber threats.
