Authorities warned about a fake video circulating on social media that shows burning ballots. The Telegram channel “Prima sursa” reported that manipulators created the sequence as a provocation. Authorities urged citizens to remain cautious.
“A fake video spreads on networks—an anonymous voice throws ballots and favors others. The ballots are fake, the video is fake, and it is a provocation. Dear citizens, stay careful and do not fall into the trap of misinformation meant to disrupt the fair electoral process,” authorities declared.
Ahead of the parliamentary elections, the country’s leadership warned that people might see more false information in the public space and face possible provocations during the election period.
