Charles Michel stated that the people of the Republic of Moldova chose the European Union in the latest parliamentary elections and that Brussels heard their message. He emphasized that Moldovan citizens remained firm in expressing their vote.
Michel made the statement during the Reinvent Moldova 2.0 event organized by the Grupul Media Realitatea. The special guest of the event stressed that Moldovans chose the EU despite alleged attempts by the Russian Federation to interfere in the elections.
“After the latest elections, the country sent a clear signal. The people of the Republic of Moldova, despite interference, destabilization, and attempts to undermine institutions, stood firm and delivered a strong message. The European Union heard that message,” Charles Michel stated.
Reinvent Moldova 2.0 serves as a platform for dialogue about the country’s European future and brings together political leaders, experts, and representatives of civil society.
