Minister Spînu talked Moldova gas supplies issue with Gazprom CEO

Moldova will have natural gas at least for the next month. The Russian giant Gazprom confirmed the gas volumes for the month of September and extended the deadline for the audit until October 1. The announcement was made by Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu, after discussions with the head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller.

“I had with Alexei Miller, the general director of Gazprom a videoconference, and a phone call, regarding the situation of gas deliveries for the next period. We discussed the completion of the debt audit, MoldovaGaz’s ability to pay the high price for gas and the prospects for gas supply for the coming winter. As a result, I inform you that Gazprom has confirmed the gas volumes for the month of September and extended the deadline for the Moldovagaz audit until October 1. In this sense, I informed that it is not possible to carry out the audit until October 1st and I reiterated the need to extend the deadline until March 31st, 2023. We will continue the discussions in the next period as well”, announced Spînu.

We remind you that on Tuesday evening, Gazprom announced that Alexei Miller held online discussions with the Deputy Prime Minister, Andrei Spînu. During the discussions, Miller demanded that the gas debts be paid on time.
