The economic and security challenges faced by the Republic of Moldova and the entire region as a result of the Russian aggression towards Ukraine was the topic of the discussions today, September 26, of the country’s president, Maia Sandu, with several ambassadors accredited to our country.
President Maia Sandu thanked the partner countries for the financial and humanitarian support that Moldova benefited from with the start of the war and that helped us manage the refugee crisis in the neighboring country.

The head of state mentioned the importance of the political support of the European countries, but also the personal effort made by the ambassadors accredited to us for the Republic of Moldova to obtain the status of a candidate country for accession.
Maia Sandu emphasized that European integration is the goal towards which all the efforts of the Chisinau authorities are now directed and that they are working on reforms in the areas highlighted in the opinion of the European Commission.
