Russia is acting aggressively, including in relation to the Republic of Moldova. The statement was made by the Romanian president, Klaus Iohannis, at the start of the Bucharest 9 meeting in Warsaw.
One year after the start of the war, the leader from Bucharest spoke about the security problems in the region and about the commitments that NATO and the US have assumed. At the same time, the Romanian official accused Moscow of trying to destroy European security and the international system, based on rules.

“Russia acts according to a model of aggressive behavior, which we could already observe in the Republic of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine,” Iohannis said.
In Warsaw, the leaders of new Bucharest met – a format created at the initiative of Duda and Iohannis after the annexation of Crimea. Members are Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia and Slovakia.
