A project valued at 73 million euros will fund energy rehabilitation for 14 district hospitals and 16 buildings of higher education institutions. The Cabinet of Ministers has authorized the Ministry of Energy to begin negotiating the financing agreements.
Most higher education buildings are in Chisinau, while hospitals are across nine districts.
The financing will consist of a 30 million euro loan from the French Development Agency (AFD), a 38.7 million euro grant from the German Development Bank (KfW), and a 4.3 million euro contribution from the Republic of Moldova.

The project, set to be implemented over five years, aims to enhance the comfort and functionality of public buildings.
The works will focus on reducing energy consumption in public buildings, leading to significant savings in the public budget and contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
