A delegation of the International Monetary Fund is in the Republic of Moldova. It is headed by the Director of the Fund’s European Department, Alfred Kammer.
The officials had a meeting with Maia Sandu. They spoke with the president about the fact that “the regional situation is complicated but stable”, according to the Presidency. Maia Sandu informed the delegation about the government’s priorities.

It is about maintaining peace and stability, overcoming the crisis in the energy sector and reviving the economy. The head of state also spoke about the need to increase business access to cheaper financing, about the investments needed to strengthen energy security and adapt to climate change.
Also on Thursday, it was announced that Maia Sandu’s meeting with the Polish ambassador in Chisinau was announced. The meeting takes place “in the context of the recent visit to Warsaw”, carried out by Maia Sandu, announced the Presidency.
