Secretary General of the Presidential Administration of Moldova Andrei Spînu stressed on Monday, May 8, that May 9 is Europe Day, and other statements should be ignored.
“May 9, Europe Day. Some confused politicians will tell us something else. They do not deserve our attention, we will ignore them,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
“Moldova is and will be a European country, let’s enjoy it”, Spînu urges.
Every year on May 9 in Europe, primarily in the EU countries, celebrations are held at the state level on the occasion of Europe Day. This date has been celebrated in Moldova since 2006, in 2017 Europe Day became an official holiday.
