Approved by the Government: scientific degrees obtained abroad will be recognized in Moldova

A scientific degree obtained abroad can be recognized in the Republic of Moldova. The Government approved the regulation of procedures.

Recognition of qualifications can be requested by Moldovan citizens or foreigners who enjoy equal rights with Moldovans in access to education, vocational training, and the labor market. Citizens of Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third-world countries are also eligible to participate in the program.

To establish equivalence, applicants will have to submit a package of documents in originals and copies: a printed application, a document confirming the scientific degree with a legalized translation, a document confirming the accreditation of the institution that awarded this title, a doctoral thesis, its summary and confirmation of its submission to the National Library of the Republic of Moldova, a copy of the diploma with a legalized translation, confirmation of the payment of the equalization fee and a statement of responsibility for the accuracy of the presentation of the document.
