BREAKING NEWS! Maia Sandu has gone to Kyiv

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, is today, June 27, on a working visit to Kyiv. The announcement was made by the Presidential Administration in Chisinau, a few days after the head of state said in a television show that he planned a trip to Ukraine, but avoided saying on what date.

According to the Presidency, during the day, the head of state will visit the towns of Borodeanka, Bucea and Irpen, and will have a meeting with the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelenski.

We specify that, previously, the Ukrainian press also reported that the preparations for a meeting between the presidents Maia Sandu and Vladimir Zelenski have started. The information appeared in the public space, after a telephone conversation between the two heads of state on the evening of June 22, the day before the European Council meeting, where the applications for granting the status of candidate countries to Moldova and Ukraine were examined.

Then, the two heads of state wrote on Twitter that they only talked about the Council meeting, although the Ukrainian press leaked the information that they had set up a meeting in Kyiv.
