The Central Electoral Commission decided on today’s meeting. On November 5, 2023, the general local elections will take place in the Republic of Moldova.
The decision will enter into force on August 7, 2023, when the election period will also begin.
Election campaigning starts from the day of registration of electoral competitors but not earlier than 30 days before voting day.
In the subsequent period, the CEC will develop and approve the calendar program for organizing and holding general local elections, which will indicate the activities that need to be taken to organize voting, the timing of their implementation, and the persons responsible for each action.
