Cheaper roaming in Europe. “One more reason to explore, communicate, and connect worry-free,” claims Popescu

Starting today, exploration and communication opportunities in Europe become more accessible with the entry into force of a voluntary agreement signed between national operators and several European operators. Reduced roaming charges in the European Union and the European Economic Area provide travelers from the Republic of Moldova with the opportunity to talk and access the internet at significantly lower prices, thus providing an additional reason to connect worry-free.

“I am pleased to announce that we can now talk to our loved ones and access the internet while roaming in Europe at much lower prices, thus creating a more affordable and convenient connectivity experience, thanks to the signing of the voluntary agreement with national operators and several European operators,” conveyed the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nicu Popescu, in a message published on Facebook on the first day of 2024.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nicu Popescu, emphasized the importance of this initiative, highlighting the significant advantages for those traveling to any of the 30 countries in the EU and EEA. Travelers now have the opportunity to activate advantageous options according to the offers launched by operators in the Republic of Moldova, facilitating a more affordable and convenient connectivity experience.

This change comes as a boost for exploration and communication during travels, removing financial barriers and facilitating interaction with loved ones or access to information in a more convenient and pocket-friendly manner.
