The president of the country, Maia Sandu, is launching a contest for the young people of the Republic of Moldova, on the occasion of national holidays, such as Independence Day and Romanian Language Day.
Thus, Maia Sandu urges them to write to her how they see the Republic of Moldova or to draw and send her works and answers.
“Dear friends, the month of August comes with valuable national holidays for the Republic of Moldova. Soon we will mark Independence Day, when we will celebrate our country together. On this occasion, I invite the children to write to me how they see the Republic of Moldova. What does it mean, for you, to live in Moldova? What do you want the future to look like in the Republic of Moldova? Draw how you see Moldova or write your answers to the questions: What does home mean to you? Why do you like the Republic of Moldova? What does it mean to be a free man? How do you understand democracy? I am waiting for your letters and drawings to the address: bd. Ștefan cel Mare È™i Sfânt 154, Presidency of the Republic of Moldova, MD-2073 ChiÈ™inău, or by email at presa@prm.md, until August 25. “Life in Moldova is as we make it all together”, Maia Sandu’s message states.
We specify that on August 27 we annually celebrate Independence Day in the Republic of Moldova, and on August 31 – Romanian Language Day.
