Chisinau Airport’s activity, disrupted by a bomb alert! Passengers are urgently evacuated

A new bomb alert at the Chisinau International Airport has put the authorities on fire.

According to the information, the registration of travelers was stopped, people were evacuated to safe areas and the specialized services of the MAI were called.

In recent months, the Republic of Moldova is frequently “bombarded” by hundreds of false bomb alerts. Authorities are investigating the cases and trying to determine who is responsible.

The alleged mines have drastically disrupted the flight schedule. Several flights were affected, being postponed or canceled, and the airlines stated that they are intervening to adjust their schedules and honor their obligations to passengers.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs previously called for tougher penalties for people who make such false reports. It is requested that they end up behind bars for periods of up to 12 years.
