The capital city will host a four-day festival dedicated to commemorating the 587th anniversary of the first documented mention of Chisinau. The event, called “Greetings, Chisinau,” will take place from July 14th to 17th. The cultural and artistic activities will be held on Eugen Doga Pedestrian Street.
The festival will be inaugurated on Friday with performances by the Advahov Brothers Orchestra, Zinaida Julea, Fuego, Gabriel Nebunu, Maria IliuÈ› and “CrenguÈ›a de Iederă,” Nicolae Gribincea and “PlăieÈ™ii.”
On July 15th, there will be a classical music concert and entertainment performed by the Municipal Chamber Orchestra “Camerata Chisinau,” conducted by Cristian Spătaru. Soloists Natalia Tanasiiciuc, Igor Èšurcanu, Igor Podgoreanu will also be featured. Additionally, the distinguished composer Eugen Doga will be present, honoring the audience with his music.
On Sunday, July 16th, the stage will be taken by DARA, Satoshi, Misha Miller, Radu Dolgan, Ana Cernicova, Vladimir Fotescu, Aliona Triboi, Gicu Cimbir, Ana Odobescu, Orchestra AVANTI, and Vladimir Fotescu, among others.
Furthermore, the special guest of the “Greetings, Chisinau” Festival is the Romanian singer Andra.
On Monday, July 17th, starting at 5:00 PM, the 587th anniversary of Chisinau will be celebrated in “Mihai Eminescu” Square. The program includes book launches, poetry readings, music, painting, and film screenings.
