Cristina Gherasimov at the EU General Affairs Council

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov will attend an informal meeting of the European Union General Affairs Council on February 18 in Warsaw. The event brings together high-ranking officials from EU member states and candidate countries and provides a platform to discuss current challenges, including hybrid threats to the country’s stability and European path.

“We discussed our efforts to combat manipulation, strengthen resilience and security, and defend democracy. Disinformation and using energy as a weapon pose real challenges for both authorities and citizens. However, we remain firmly committed to the European path we embarked on almost three years ago,” Gherasimov said.

She emphasized that the Republic of Moldova benefits from the continuous support of EU institutions and member states in advancing its European path and achieving EU membership.
