Developments on Moldova’s European integration agenda were discussed at Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov’s meeting with an Estonian official

On February 19th, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, held a meeting with Gert Antsu, the Special Envoy for Eastern Partnership of Estonia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry and Director of the Department for Ukraine, Moldova, and Southern Caucasus. The discussions, as reported by the government’s communication department, centered around Moldova’s progress on the European integration agenda following the historic decision by the European Council in December to initiate accession negotiations with Moldova.

Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in the field of European integration, expressing confidence in Estonia’s extensive experience and expertise in this area. She reiterated the commitment of Moldova’s authorities to implement necessary reforms to propel forward in the European integration process.

„We are interested in deepening even more our good cooperation in the European integration field and in this respect, we rely on the vast experience and expertise of Estonia,’’ Deputy PM Cristina Gherasimov said.
