Discussions with the government and meetings with the opposition. Marta Kos’s full schedule in Moldova

Marta Kos will visit the Republic of Moldova on Thursday and Friday. She will hold discussions on the country’s progress in implementing reforms and will encourage additional investments ahead of the second EU–Moldova Summit scheduled for June 22 in Brussels.

On Thursday, she will meet Maia Sandu to discuss EU accession reforms, the justice sector, internal developments, and the regional security situation. The meeting will be followed by a joint press conference.

The Commissioner will also hold a working lunch with Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu and several government members. They will focus on implementing the EU Growth Plan for Moldova and on the impact of external shocks caused by the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.

Later the same day, she will join the President and Prime Minister to open the first EU–Moldova Investment Conference. The event will mark one year since the launch of the EU Growth Plan for Moldova and will focus on investments that strengthen EU–Moldova supply chains and support economic growth.

In the evening, she will meet representatives of civil society to discuss their role in shaping Moldova’s EU accession process.

On Friday, together with Alexandru Munteanu, she will open the Moldova Digital Summit 2026, which will focus on accelerating European integration through innovation.

She will also meet Igor Grosu, members of the parliamentary Committee for European Integration, and opposition leaders to discuss reform progress and political inclusiveness.

At the end of her visit, she and Maia Sandu will meet young representatives from EU member states and partner countries to discuss the state of democracy in Europe and ways to strengthen resilience against external threats. She will also meet mayors from across Moldova to discuss local public administration reform.
