The European Court of Human Rights has requested the Government’s opinion on the case brought against Moldova by former President Igor Dodon. The announcement was made on social media by the leader of the Socialist Party.
“The ECHR referred Dodon to the government as it suspected human rights violations in my case and raised specific questions against the government regarding violations of the right to a fair trial and the right to a court based on the rule of law, as well as violations of the right to freedom of movement, “Dodon wrote.

The former State President claims no material damages. However, Dodon suggests that the government may use the concepts of “Hybrid War” and “European integration” to conceal abuses, restrict human rights, and eliminate political opponents.
