Prime Minister Dorin Recean will visit Bucharest on Saturday, June 17, state government sources. He will meet at the Victoria Palace with the new Prime Minister of Romania, Marcel Ciolacu.
The information was not yet confirmed by the representatives of the Government in Chisinau.
On Thursday, June 15, the Ciolacu Government was vested with 290 votes out of 385 casts, 95 against. Two votes against the new Executive came from the liberals Florin Cîțu and Dan Vîlceanu.
On Monday, June 12, the PNL leader, Nicolae Ciucă, submitted his mandate as prime minister so that the procedures regarding the government circular could be started. On June 29, 2022, Florin Cîţu resigned from the position of president of the Senate, and since then, the interim position has been provided by Alina Gorghiu.
