The European Union is allocating an additional €157 million to Moldova under the EU’s Growth Plan for the country. The announcement was made by the European Commission during the Moldova–EU Association Council meeting.

European authorities said the funding supports reforms being implemented by Moldova in key areas, including private-sector development, economic resilience, economic governance, social cohesion and the labor market, energy, the green transition and good governance.

“With this latest payment, the total amount made available to Moldova under the Plan has already reached €661 million. Moldova continues to demonstrate consistent determination and progress under its reform agenda, turning reforms into opportunities for citizens and businesses,” the European Commission said.

The European Commission announced the Growth Plan for Moldova in October 2024, covering the 2025–2027 period. The overall support package is worth €1.9 billion.
