The Ambassador of the European Union (EU) in Chișinău, Janis Mazeiks, opened the first lesson for students in grades X through XII at the “Pro Succes” High School in Chișinău. According to the EU Delegation in Moldova, the diplomat discussed with the young students the benefits of our country’s integration into the European Union.
“The ‘Pro Succes’ High School is recognized as a model of inclusive education. The first child with special needs started studying at this high school in 2003,” the Delegation’s representatives emphasized.
In his message to the students, the diplomat expressed confidence in their future.
“Dear students, I wish you an exciting journey of studies in the new school year, and I look confidently toward your future! Moreover, I am convinced that the process of Moldova’s integration into the European Union will provide a generous range of opportunities for you to utilize your talents and, thus, achieve your aspirations,” stated the ambassador during the ceremony marking the start of the new school year 2023-2024 at the “Pro Succes” Theoretical High School in Chișinău.
The new academic year 2023-2024 begins on September 1st in all educational institutions in the Republic of Moldova. In the context of obtaining the status of a candidate country for EU accession, the first lesson for students across the country took place under the theme “European Moldova.”
On the occasion of the start of the new school year, the Minister of Education and Research, Dan Perciun, delivered a message for students, teachers, and parents. The official stated that the Ministry, under his leadership, will work towards creating better conditions for everyone in school so that every student can feel safe and discover the joy of learning.
