The final shipment of 19 Piranha-3 H armored vehicles, donated by the German government, has reached the Republic of Moldova.
The armored vehicles, named “Piranha-3 H,” will be officially received on Wednesday, November 15, by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Moldova at the headquarters of the General Brigade Nicolae Petrică.
“The equipment was received during the current year as part of the objective to modernize the capabilities of the National Army, based on the agreement signed between the Ministry of Defense and the German side,” announced the Ministry of Defense.
These vehicles will be used in the training of soldiers who will be deployed on international peacekeeping missions.
The first batch of “Piranha” consisting of three units arrived in Moldova in January 2023. In total, Germany has donated 19 Piranha-3 H armored vehicles.
