Citizens of the Republic of Moldova who plan to vote on September 28, 2025, but have recently changed their place of residence, must declare their new address in advance.
To do this, voters must visit the district hall or the town hall of their new locality. Once declared, authorities will register the voter on the electoral list corresponding to their new residence and note “Residence Declaration” in the “Notes” section. Simultaneously, they will remove the voter from the electoral list of their previous permanent or temporary address.
When submitting the declaration, voters must present a valid identification document. A responsible official at the district or town hall will update the State Register of Voters and provide a receipt confirming the new declaration.
The deadline to submit this declaration is September 3, 2025, at the latest, which is 25 days before the election.
Important: Declarations submitted for previous elections are no longer valid.
