“We want as many Moldovan products as possible to reach Sweden and to have as many Swedish investors as possible in the Republic of Moldova”. The President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, who is on an official visit to the Kingdom of Sweden, had a meeting with the Swedish Prime Minister, Ulf Kristersson. During the discussions, the state of bilateral relations between the two countries was reviewed. The officials also talked about the intensification of economic and commercial cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the Kingdom of Sweden.
According to a press release, a special topic of the discussions was the reform agenda of our country and the government’s priorities for the coming years.

“For the year 2023, we set out to return to economic growth and support the business environment. Another priority is the development of energy production from renewable sources. We are interested in Sweden’s experience in carrying out green energy generation projects”, said Igor Grosu.
The head of the legislature assured the Swedish Prime Minister that the Parliament and the Government of the Republic of Moldova are institutions fully engaged in the economic development of the country and in creating favorable conditions for the development of business and investments,
At the end of the meeting, Igor Grosu expressed his gratitude for the generous support that Sweden has offered to the Republic of Moldova over the past years. The Government of Sweden supported important projects for the development of the creative industries, the fields of viticulture and tourism, but also the improvement of the business environment, local development and the consolidation of democratic institutions in the Republic of Moldova.
