“The Republic of Moldova is making all necessary efforts to help the Ukrainian people with everything it can, including within the framework of Ukraine’s peace formula.” Speaker Igor Grosu made this statement in Kyiv during a meeting with Ruslan Stefanchuk, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
During the meeting, the officials discussed the latest developments in the region, especially the consequences of the intensifying Russian attacks.

“In this context, I emphasized that Moldova is making all necessary efforts to help the Ukrainian people in every way it can, including within the framework of Ukraine’s peace formula. Today, we have about 60,000 Ukrainians enjoying temporary protection. We have also joined the international efforts to free the abducted Ukrainian children by adopting a statement in the plenary session of Parliament. We also joined the Council of Europe’s damage register to ensure that Russia pays reparations because what is happening in Ukraine is genocide. We will continue to support our Ukrainian neighbors. Together, we will restore peace in Ukraine,” Grosu said.
The head of the Moldovan legislature is in Kyiv, where he participated in the IV summit of the Crimean Platform. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski hosted the event.
