The President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, met with Dritan Taulla, a member of the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations (ENEMO). The officials discussed the challenges our country faces during the electoral process.
They also exchanged views on the political and institutional developments in the Republic of Moldova and their impact on the electoral process.
During the discussions, Igor Grosu condemned Russia’s interference in the presidential election campaign and the constitutional referendum regarding integration into the European Union on October 20.
“Despite the aggressive and cynical influences and interference, we are determined to continue our country’s European integration course. Attempts to undermine the electoral process through schemes to corrupt voters, misinformation, manipulation, and hybrid threats aim to make citizens lose confidence in state institutions and to compromise the people’s vote and the country’s European path,” he stated.
